Disability Services Educator Job Opening!

SafePlace: Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survival Center
is recruiting for the following position: Disability Services Educator

$1,416.66 per month March 1 through August 31, 2010; 20 hours per week.
Outreach through disability service agencies and provide presentations to groups of teens and adults with disabilities on topics related to healthy sexuality, healthy relationships, bullying, sexual harassment, sexual abuse assault, dating violence, and personal safety strategies. Market and provide presentations/trainings to disability service and other allied professionals on topics related to recognizing and responding to sexual abuse/assault against persons with disabilities. Work with professionals from disability service organizations and residential facilities for people with disabilities on topics related to primary prevention of sexual abuse against people with disabilities. Complete paperwork, grant narrative performance reports, and data entry for trainings/presentations as required by SafePlace and funders. Requirements: experience in working with persons with disabilities required. Strongly prefer experience in providing education/training. Flexibility in schedule is required. Must have access to reliable transportation. This position will end as of August 31, 2010.
